Autumn 1

Early Years have been learning all about Diwali, the Hindu celebration of light. We were so lucky to have a special Visitor come in to see us on Monday, from the Iskon Temple. We were able to try on traditional clothing and looked at some musical instruments that are traditionally used in India. 

Autumn 2

We have been learning about People who help us and were luck enough to have a visit from the Fire Service. We learnt lots about what they do to help people as well as experiencing some key tasks such as squirting the hose and sitting in the engine.

Spring 1

 We have been learning all about polar animals! We loved looking at a world map and talking about where polar animals live. We have discussed why these habitats are the best for these animals and talked about how their bodies have changed to help them survive. We have enjoyed using our problem solving skills to free frozen animals from containers. Throughout the provision we have loved printing squares and rectangles to make igloos as well as building igloos using sugar cubes!
